Hypocrisy/polythesm is among the vices that Allah avoided us to attempt, whoever attempted it his deeds will be in vain in the day of resurrection.
It is narrated Mahmud Bn Labid (the Prophet companion): Allah's Messenger (may peace and mercy be upon him) said : " The most dreadful thing which I fear about you is minor polytheism. " The companions asked ; What is the minor polytheism ? He said : " It is hypocrisy ." And he added that on the day of judgement, when rewarding people for their deeds, Allah will say to the hypocrites :
" GO TO THOSE FOR THE SAKE OF WHOM YOU USED TO PERFORM GOOD DEEDS, AND SEE WHETHER YOU CAN GET ANY REWARD FROM THEM ."
(This tradition is mentioned in Musnad Ahmad)
So, try not to attempt or act any deed which it's result will not be useful to you in the hereafter.
