Islamic Movement under the leadership of his eminence Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky remembered 3 years Anniversary of Kano Massacre perpetrated by Kano police ordered by the state Governor as he claim in a meeting with Sunni scholars.
The massacre took place on 2017 during Arba'een peaceful trek marking the remembrance of Imam Hussein, grandson of Prophet Muhammad(s).
The annual trek used to take place in 5 zones including Kano, all the other zones terminated peacefully except that of Kano that was attacked by Nigerian police
During the attack, over 40+ brothers and sisters of the Islamic movement were slaughtered and buried in mass grave, hundreds were arrested and detained some of them carrying bullets in their body.
The remembrance that took place yesterday 03/10/2020 on Twitter marking 3 years anniversary, where articles, pictures and videos were shared for evidence of the massacre, the Twitter trend hash tagged #KanoMassacre.
